Hadrian, 117-138. Cistophorus (Silver, 29 mm, 9.31 g, 12 h), uncertain mint A in Asia Minor. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. COS III Poppy and four grain ears in a bundle. Metcalf 66. RPC III online 1410.2 (this coin). Extremely rare, by far the finest of apparently only two known examples. Minor deposits and with small scratches on the reverse, otherwise, nearly very fine.
